  • Great to Streamline Workouts (don't like muscle chart character in new update)

    This app is great for streamlining your workouts, especially if you go to the gym multiple times a week. I'm not sure how accurate the fatigue tracking system is, but it works well enough that I feel like I'm never wearing out a muscle group and hitting all areas appropriately. Pros: - workouts catered to you depending on many personal factors (body type, workout goals, time in gym, equipment at gym, etc.) - can adjust workouts on the fly according to what you are feeling - catered workouts target all areas and seem to track your fatigue appropriately - workout instructions are generally clear (see note below for con) Cons: - some instructions need to be clearer on reps, ie V Bar pull-up is not explicit about what a rep is. One rep is the excersise performed once on both sides, but this could be unclear to those unfamiliar with the excercise or any others that don't specific reps - limited calisthenic excersise - limited excersise variations - advanced calisthenic excersises like muscle ups use aggressive kipping in the demonstration video. These excersises should not be performed with kipping because it undermined the strength gain from these excersise and can cause injury If performed incorrectly - writing this review because the new model they are using for the fatigue chart (the parcled man with different muscle areas) is incredibly ugly. The previous model was cleaner. This guy looks like an early 2000's video game character
  • Love this app, gets me motivated to workout.

    Having a virtual coach allows me to focus on weightlifting and not trying to figure out which exercises to do next. I appreciate all of the improvements, being able to swap out exercises, build circuits, watch video clips, etc. This is a premier app and has definitely stayed on top with the updates. I prefer the original muscle artwork (geometric shapes) because of the abstract look, and it set Fitbod apart. I appreciate the effort on the new artwork but don’t need it to look more real, kind of distracting. Anyway, I’d encourage anyone to try this app, top notch. Thanks!

    For a guy like me who has 4 kids and runs his own business and really has very little time to go to the gym and figure out what to do Fitbod is perfect. I can put my headphones on and just check off exercise by exercise and I’m done! Love the way the AI figures out what muscles are recovering and which ones can be incorporated into my workout! Gotta love technology! Also love the videos that show you exactly how to do each exercise. $At 60 bucks a year, half of what you would pay for a good trainer, you can’t beat it!!!

  • Very flexible. Just what I wanted

    The best thing about this app is how flexible it is. Both before and in the middle of a workout you can change anything about the suggested routine. You can change: 1. targeted muscle group 2. The exercise 3. Number of reps 4. Weight 5. The order of the exercise 6. The number of sets I travel a lot and you easily change what equipment you have available and the suggested exercises with update so it only suggests things you can do. I’ve been using this for about two months and I’m really happy with it.

    I have loved this app since day one It gradually increases your weight Then will drop it down but give you high reps, keeps track of your history so you can see how well you have improved and estimates your 1RM I use the setting “fresh muscle groups” so it gives muscles breaks and destroys more recovered ones Leave your ego at home and you will see great results Cheaper than a personal trainer
  • Lots of bug

    I love the idea of the app. No need to think about my workout program and it makes me do exercises I would other not do. It has a Apple Watch integration and sync up with Apple Health. Unfortunately I am growing more and more frustrated about the app. It has a lot of bugs that are slowly driving me nuts. I would rather prefer the app to do less things but to be more reliable. I hope it become more stable soon.
