  • Subscriptions are killing Good Apps

I will continue to abandon every app that adopts subscription structures, ESPECIALLY when you’ve already spent $10 on the base application. If you want to sell me extra features that should just be included in updates for those of us that already purchased your product, at least make it a one time payment. I don’t appreciate you guys trying to squeeze more money out of loyal customers. Defending this decision as the right move for the growth of your platform is laughable and alienates your customer base. Too bad.
  • Primitive with photos

Excellent journaling software, but capturing photos does not allow zooming, panorama, cropping etc. Needs update.
  • I love this app

    By elh739
I got tired of social media, and sharing too much with people who really don’t care about me. So I decided to use this app to share my life with myself lol. I like how you can secure it with a passcode and also upload photos, create audio entries, and sync it across multiple devices. I may even upgrade to premium I like this app so much.
  • Decent iPad app

    By Keithlee002
App doesn’t really use the larger space of iPad that well since there’s a huge “+” button that takes up half the screen and is easy to accidentally press. There should be a way to to show full screen map, photo, or calendar view. Currently all these screens are on the left side of the screen taking up only 40% of the screen. There’s also a bug that doesn’t show related photos for most of my journal entries when I try to add photos. I think if the two issues are fixed, this app would deserve 5 stars
  • Easy journal

Using this on iPad and phone trying to use daily. So far it’s working.
  • Dependable companion for several years

I’ve used this app to capture so many significant moments in my life. Recommend. Would like to add video
  • A journal that makes you want to make an entry every day, and with at least one photo.

I have been a raving fan of Day One for almost 6 years now. A great feature is the map that shows where you were on each day in the “on this day” feature, which is really interesting. I’ve made an entry every day for over six years. Whenever there is a question about when something happened, search can answer it. It is like being able to google your life!
  • Favorite App Hands Down

    By TrekkingMatt
This is my favorite app on any device. The design is excellent and makes using the app a joy. The benefits of journaling are well documented and this app makes it easy and fun. The team behind the app are awesome too, from the podcast to technical support. I have consistently gotten amazing response from the support team through the in-app support chat interface anytime I’ve needed it.
  • Love this App and Customer Service is amazing

Downloaded to test to see if this would work for me for tracking multiple projects. I had a couple of questions and Adam was right on top of it, explaining how I could accomplish what I needed. He was also open to suggestions of features that would push this app into “almost perfect” for my needs. Thanks
  • I am a DayOne Fanatic. Activity feed = Amazing. Suggestions!

    By calibrether1234
Activity feed has quickly become the MOST useful part of DayOne, aside from the actual typing and viewing entries :) What I like so much about it is how much more I'm actually writing in my journal. I wrote in my journal 3 times today already, but when I got home and opened up DayOne to look at the activity feed, I realized I missed a huge meeting for work that I really wanted to document. After typing that entry out, I came straight here. Please make use of this feature more flagrantly! iOS 10 Widget: This one is pretty simple. Make a widget for activity feed, and make that widget be the one that appears when you 3D touch the DayOne app from the home screen. Maybe its just me, but I'd rather the widgets be working to help me save the memory. They don't really help me do that right now. iOS 10 Notifications: Allow us to schedule reminder notifications. Use new iOS API's to allow us to actually view the activity feed from the Notification! The activity feed has increased my "daily" journaling to almost 100%. It's hard to miss a day, but oh how amazing it would be to get a notification that simply said, "You didn't write yesterday. . ." And boom, be able to instantly see everything you did yesterday, and then create an entry right there, from the notification. This truly would take advantage of the tech iOS is offering, which is something I feel DayOne has always done amazingly I'm actually confident all this is already being implemented/planned out for a future update, but I really wanted to share with the creators how much I love the activity feed, and how much I want to take advantage of it even more!
