  • NOT FREE!!! It’s $40 a month!!!

    By ChristiannaCoppola
I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing because I thought it was free content with in-app purchases. NOWHERE does it say it costs $40 and you are stuck with that bill even if you cancel immediately. NOT a nice trick on people especially right before Christmas. And why shouldn’t it be free? We’re STILL subject to watching commercials, only now they’re from YouTube as well as the network, PLUS YouTube gets to monetize our data. I would NEVER pay $40/month for YouTube TV. If I had wanted to pay for cable, I would have had a legitimate cable company install cable because I can still watch that on all my portable devices AND have reliable service because, as if to add insult to injury, the stupid app freezes after a few minutes and you can’t watch the content. YouTube literally just stole $40 from me. Can’t wait for the class-action on this one...
  • Awesome with my Samsung TV

    By JonnieHalford
I’ve had it for a week now an absolutely love it. We have 5 of us in the house, and we all have our own profiles. On my Samsung TV it is super easy to use as you can add the app to the home screen. With unlimited recordings you’ll always have something to watch!
  • Disgraceful that there are so many ads

    By ancient101
The greed of this app is disgraceful and disgusting. They have so many ads, and that is even after paying a comparable amount of money that you did for cable tv. At least with TV you have ad-skip. I’m seriously considering going back to cable tv. For anyone considering cutting the cord, BUYER BEWARE, THIS IS NOT THE BEST CHOICE BECAUSE OF THE ADS!!! STAY WITH CABLE.
  • Why Hulu Wins for Our Family

    By thedave100
I’ve tried them all. As of the time I’m writing this review, YouTube TV is the winner. Directv Now was close, but they did raise their price... It was unfortunate, I did enjoy the lineup but the channels I wanted are now in the next pricing tier. Hulu was great. For a family of five, we needed more DVR space and streams. This raised the cost to ...cable service levels. Vue was good but way, way, waaaay to weird about your zip code. Why pay for a service you’re going to have difficulty using? Philo was pretty amazing! If they offered more children’s channels, I’d still be a subscriber! Sling offers low-level tiers. By the time you add on what you want, plus streams and DVR, it’s not too different than the others. YouTube TV wins, though, because they are $40.00. That’s it. No sneak-attacks. Three streams at once and free DVR for up to six people! ...That’s a win for me, too. Premium channels are standard pricing. I wish they offered more channels, but I’m honestly happy and entertained with their offering. I’m relatively sure they will be the choice for our family.
  • Great!!

    Love the channel selection
  • Ok, but room for improvement.

    By AlwaysDancing82
I like YouTube TV, it being newer, obviously there’s room for improvement. I wish there was a way to set dvr recordings for specific episodes, and not the entire show; it’s either all or none. Also, I wish the Apple TV version was as user friendly as the iPad and iPhone versions. It could definitely use some design modifications. Otherwise, I haven’t had problems with pixelation, slowness, or any other bugs some other services are plagued with. Oh! I also hope that they eventually rollout a commercial free version.
  • Out of this world

    By Mike & Liisa
In the past we have had DIRECTV, DISH, Comcast and others etc.... ... None of which honestly can compare! So many nights we were bored with the entertainment offered. But not now!!! Now with YouTubeTV we get everything!!! So many programs! The best OF NFL-SPORTS, ESPN, tons of Nature Documentaries,TEDTalk, comedyTV and BEYOND! We are amazed in what is covered in our membership! The best part is the monthly $39.99 membership, and you can cancel at anytime if not happy. NO 2 year membership with penalties... or your first born to sign up!! One day everyone will realize YouTube TV is what they’ve been missing!
  • Almost You Tube TV

Unfortunately without out Food and Cooking channel switching to your service doesn’t work for the family. When it happens consider us customers.

  • Very very misleading

    By Gghdghfehjfdchy
So, when you start up the app for the first time, it says “Try it now”. So usually that would mean that it is a free trail. (Keep in mind that I did this like a year ago and NO WHERE it said that I was paying monthly for the service). So I thought it was a free trail, then I find out that it wasn’t and it was charged $50 for the month. I mean, really? There was no where that it said it would cost 50 in the app! I contacted an Apple advisor and ended up getting a full refund and getting a whole month of the service for free just as I expected. I’m giving 4 stars because, 1. The service is refundable and 2. YouTube fixed where it would not say it would charge you, but for some reason it still says “Try it now” even though you are buying it and 3. The service isn’t all that bad, a little overpriced but it’s a great service
