  • Not really free = 7 day trial

    By Mrs.NobodyAnnoyedConsumer
I was really annoyed to find out this was only a 7 day free trial, and not actually free. This is tagged as free, with in-app purchases; it only told me it was free for 7 days after I began setting it up, and just before finalizing. Sort of a bait and switch.

Great app when I have time to make the meals. Love the auto automatic grocery list. One point I don’t like is that I can’t go back and pull recipes from days my family and liked the meal more that others. I can substitute, but something I want to make the same thing we ate a week ago or so and I don’t remember. So, unless I take a screen shot, I am out of luck. Thanks
  • Great app!

I love this app - you guys thought of everything! The recipes are easy, SUPER tasty, lots of variety and whole food healthy. The app is easy to use and has a lot of flexibility so you can view and plan things in ways that meet your specific needs. Ive had a couple challenges that I’m working around - seems the recipes don’t always match the day/person portions so I end up with more food than I can eat. Example: egg casserole recipe should have been portioned for 1 person for 1 day but it made 12 casseroles. The recipe also didn’t say how many casseroles had to be eaten to achieve the nutrient macros that were indicated. Also would be helpful if the shopping list was adjusted when you make adjustments to the portion information. Overall, this app gets a 5 and I’ve recommended it to several friends.
  • It’s almost there!

So I use this for myself who is high carb and my roommate who is plant based. I do like the recipes and that I can swap things out but it would be great if I can put in my own macro goals either by grams or percentages. Same with the plant based option. Not everyone only follows calories.
  • Keeps me true

I’ve always been extremely strict about my lifting programs but I’ve struggled in the kitchen. With this app I now always have a meal lined up to make and eat. And better yet, they’re not unseasoned chicken and brown rice every meal! As a cook myself, even these meals give a nice surprise.

  • Incredible App

if you’re in the market for an incredible meal prep app I highly recommend MealPrepPro. I’ve been consistently losing weight since using this meal prep guide regularly. It’s the easiest app I’ve ever used and provides everything I knew I needed, but could never master, for meal prep. This app is totally customizable to your preferences and takes all of the guesswork out. I don’t count calories or watch macros because the app does it all for me based on my current weight and goals. It offers several meal plan options from vegan to keto and allows you to change those every 4 weeks. I did vegetarian last month just to try it out and found some delicious and easy recipes in the process. I can be a pretty picky eater, but I can swap my meals whenever I want. The app also allows you to adjust how often you want to cook. I started out making breakfast every morning but my schedule has gotten busier so I adjusted my prep level to include that too. Another huge bonus is that you can add a partner with separate goals and the app will tell you how to portion the meals so you and your partner both meet your individual goals. I literally love this app. It’s 10000x worth the monthly price.
  • Macronutrient ratios are unhealthy and imbalanced.

    By doughnutzebra
I’m a skinny dude who doesn’t know much about nutrition, has never counted macros, and doesn’t go to the gym, but even I noticed that the macronutrient ratios seemed imbalanced. The “standard” plan, which I chose, came with 40% protein, 30% carbs, and 30% fat. However, I looked up the USDA guidelines and found that, for adults, the recommended Acceptable Macronutrient Distribution Ranges (AMDR) are 10-35% protein, 45-65% carbohydrate, and 20-35% fat. Surprisingly, even the “High Carbs” option on MealPrepPro has a lower carbohydrate percentage than the lower end of the recommended guidelines of the USDA for adults. The imbalance in the MealPrepPro macronutrient distribution is very concerning to me because the USDA has stated, “If an individual consumes below or above this range, there is a potential for increasing risk of chronic diseases shown to affect long-term health, as well as increasing the risk of insufficient intakes of essential nutrients.” It’s misleading to those of us who don’t know much about nutrition to promote a clearly imbalanced diet as “standard.” It’s infuriating that, not only does MealPrepPro not use the USDA standard guidelines as its own “standard” diet plan, but it does not even offer it as an option.

    Misleading app category of “free”.
  • Prep’n made easy

    By Capt. Grimm
I have been using this app for about 2 months and it takes all the guess work out of meal prep. The intergraded shopping list is a nice addition. The biggest issue I had with meal prep’n in the past was the lack of variety. Then if you don’t like the pre arranged meal plan you can go into the menus and pick what tickles your fancy.
