  • Awesome App to secure passwords

    By Nokka61
I have been a Keeper user for quite some time. I am very pleased. I recently received notification that my account is about to expire but I’m ok cause it is set up for auto renewal. I don’t know why but I looked at some reviews on password manager apps. They say Keeper is by far the best but pricey. Why pay for it when you can get it free. Personally I think the price is worth it. Keeper allows seamless changes/updates across all my devices. I can allow Keeper to generate strong passwords rather than using my old method where many of them are duplicates. Not good. Keep up the good work Keeper Developers. I will allow the auto renewal to take place.

  • No Longer A Customer After 10+ Years

    By Treishy
It’s amazing how customers with the same issue get a response from the developer yet I have not. So sad I guess not every customer (well now former customer) matters. I sent the below review originally February 26. Others with the same issue got a response. I wish I did not have to give a star at all. I had been a customer for over 10 years and honestly had no problem thus far. But, then I wake up on Sunday morning to see I have been charged $29.99 by Keeper Security. I do not have auto renew contrary to what their reps tried to tell me. Also, to further prove I don’t have auto renew I got an email Mid February to remind me my subscription was about to expire so to renew by 3/16. When I bought this email up to the reps I was told it is “an email all customers get no matter if they are on auto renew or not” and referred me to read their terms and conditions. Of course, my stance is the explanation makes no sense and to refund my $29.99 a.s.a.p. I was advised they are processing my refund. Long story short due to how this was handled I am no longer going to be a customer once my subscription expires Mid March. Too bad it had to end like this after many years.
  • Banner ads even for subscribers

Long time Keeper user. Normally rated as 5 stars but every once and a while the developer does something bone headed that leaves you wondering what in the hell were they thinking. Case and point - for us subscribers who pay $50 a year we now get the bonus of in-app banner ads that take up 20% of the screen. This is up and above the full screen advertising that shows up each time we login. It actually remind me of scams you see when browsers are hacked and say something like “SCAN THIS PASSWORD IN THE DARK WEB...NOW” Oh wait... that’s exactly what the in app banner says. Seriously. It’s red and yellow and looks so bad that I actually thought the Keeper app had been hacked. “click here in this link and we’ll check your passwords”... real comforting. Actual outside of my sarcasm in writing this review I am actually wondering about my passwords safety. I’m not really sure I want a password app exposing my passwords on the web “to check them”. The banner comes up when I am in a password record. Clicking the link then takes me to the web, from Keeper. Now I’m guessing that Keeper probable has things locked down but at what point do they sacrifice security for revenue? The question really is not whether it is secure but rather which is more secure - with an ad banner showing when you have your passwords showing on screen or without? The ad information is pulling from a sever somewhere and being displayed as your password is also being displayed. Subscribers are already paying $50 a year, why even put in their heads that security is being sacrificed for revenue. Hopefully the developer can see the concerns of the longtime paying customers and come up with another way to increase their revenue that will not sacrifice the security (if not only a fraction).

Password Keeper is easy access and use. Automatically pops up for most sites requiring passwords.
  • Horrible.

I’ve been using this app for YEARS and all of a sudden it deleted all my files!! I didn’t save them anywhere else and now I have lost so many passwords that I don’t even know if I can get back without paying their fees.
  • Too much self marketing

I pay to have this application. You guys are embarrassingly promoting your product. You are Spam - period! Stop every time I look up a pass word to sell me something!!!!!
  • Long Time User Ripped Off

DEVELOPER IS MAKING A CASH GRAB BE WARNED. I’ve been using Keeper, the free version for years. I have all of my, and my families, Passwords saved in this app. It would frequently give messages to pay for an upgraded version which I always declined. Apparently my years long free version was converted to a paid subscription only because I have been locked out of all of my passwords unless I opt to pay $30. Complete horse crap! No email or communication from the company stating a policy change. No warning to copy my passwords before I was denied access. And the cost for their “protection” is 3x higher than other higher rated apps. I plan to take this escalate this further with the AppStore. I don’t know if that will have any effect, yet I hope this review serves to further warn - as other recent reviewers are doing - that this app has gone the road of manipulative developer bait and switch.
