  • Horrible. A giant step down fm Smart Limits

Well, in the war with my 18yo over many things, AT&T just gave him the win. With smart limits We could turn off internet as a lever, to get him to call us from college, fill out financial forms, or kill internet for days or weeks when finding he'd done things not suitable for those under 21 or those honoring federal law. With this app, he’s required to pair it from his phone! He says “no”, and my wife isn’t willing to shut off service (worried we will never hear fm him). Smart Limits let us have some consequences for a challenging teenager, but this app is a total step down. Very frustrating and I hope my marriage survives.

Smart Limits was fantastic. I do not understand why att would do this but it’s useless. Your kid can delete it or turn it off and smart limits did not require you to load apps or anything on your kids phone. I’ve been an att customer going all the way back to when it was bellsouth 30 years ago, then Cingular , now this. Doing this hurt my mentally ill daughter because I could not find her. It’s been 2 weeks and no one has heard a peep and she’s still missing and on registery Thanks a lot att.

What was the point of taking away Smart limits just to install a useless app that doesn’t even do half of the things that smart limits was doing...big mistake getting rid of Smart Limits!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS APP!!!!!!!!!

I loved Smart Limits. And when they upgrade to this app I was disappointed. The locating feature is not accurate. Because when my son was his room, this app told me he was far away from our home. Not worth paying extra to an app that is not accurate. I loved smart limits because I could block numbers and this app does not let me control this. BRING SMART LIMITS BACK PLEASE.

I previously had smart limits on my sons phones but of course that app no longer available! So I purchased Secure Family app which is no use to me due to the fact this new app does not have blocking capability on Att phones for phone numbers
  • Absolutely Useless!!

App acts like I am a new subscriber every time I open it. Then when I sign in it tells me I am already a subscriber but the app will not open. I can uninstall then reinstall and it will work one time. Also you can only have one parent registered and it will not allow more than one phone to sign in at a time. Don’t waste your time with this one!
  • Terrible app.

GPS is completely wrong. It had my daughter in the inner city, and I grounded her. Then it happened again in a different location but I was with her so I know it was wrong. Can’t block numbers anymore with the no app. The app stops working after a few weeks and you have to re-pair the devices. It’s just horrible. At&t you should NEVER of decommissioned the old app before testing out and debugging the new app. Horrible engineering process (and I’m a computer engineer so I know a few things about releases). I’ve given this app months to update, nothing.
  • Worst thing AT&T ever developed

Bring back smart limits. This app while less expensive isn’t worth even $.02. Its features are very limited and easily bypassed
  • New and improved is anything but

I had the original AT&T family mapping and was happy with it. Then received the news that it was changing and improving and would cost $2 less. I would rather the pay the $2 extra and go back to the original that actually worked. This mapping is terrible and inaccurate and the system is usually confused. It has history under my child that he was located somewhere “today” at 2:40 pm but it’s only 9:40 am. Aside from those inaccuracies the actual locations are also inaccurate or non functional. Like I said, the original worked so much better!
  • Doesn’t work, waste of money

I used to have the Smart limits app with AT&T and it was great! This app replaced Smart limits and it is garbage.
