  • Never syncs with Apple Watch. Lame software unless used with Garmin

I can never get the watch to sync with Strava. Always resetting watch. Doesn’t track cadence. Lame for runners. Didn’t track swimming very well.
  • Gear

Be nice to be able to switch gear on and off for example swap tires on a bike and keep track of the mileage on it. It would be a great way improvement to the current site.
  • I thought it was a joke turned out to be a money pit

This is a great community app, but at the tune of $59 a year. There are others without all the bells and whistles.

We’ve tried out several other apps that work both with our iPhone XS and Apple Watch 4. Strava won us over immediately. The platform is clean and simple to use compared to Runkeeper and Endomondo. I also love the social aspect - being able to connect with virtual running clubs and join in on monthly events and virtual races. We initially had an issue getting calories to show for workouts, but a quick message to customer service fixed that problem - we needed to enter our weight on our profile. Customer Service responded within a few hours of sending our request, on a Saturday! The annual fee of $59 is a little steeper than some of the other apps, but the features offered in the app and the design of the app make it more than worth it. And I have confidence the app will only continue to get better. The app doesn’t feature training plans, but for us that was okay, as we prefer to plan out our own plans. We found most of the other training plans not all that different than what you could find on the web and they never integrated with our watch anyway. Strava encourages you to compete against yourself by offering the ability to see how you’ve performed on similar distances and segments. If you’re looking for a motivational and inspirational app with a clean platform and easy to understand metrics, Strava is for you!

It’s a great way of tracking your and others progress including seeing what the pro cyclist do
  • Crashes during photo upload...

As of late the app will randomly crash while I upload a few photos to the workout. Not only does it crash, it takes the darn phone with it. The entire phones needs to be rebooted whenever this happens.
  • Great but would like to see one feature

Strava is a fine fitness tracker, and there’s only one thing keeping me from giving it five stars: I wish I could track splits post ride (I’m a biker). For instance, I would like to see what my average speed is after my warmup. And I’d like to vary my splits from, say, a half mile and higher. Post ride. This enables me to see how I did on a hard slope or where I might have pedaled some high intensity intervals. This would obviously work for runners and swimmers, as well. Other than that, I love Strava Keep up the great work Devs. For me, with my watch, Strava is rock solid reliable at this time. - enough that Im a premium member.
