  • Great work, costs money but nice

I've read other reviews over the last few months and can't say I've had any problems with downloads, losing my last viewed position (automatic bookmarks), etc.. I've used the app and downloaded videos on iOS and Android. I pick 480p so the vids are not so large but 1080p has downloaded just as well for the past couple of months (you sometimes need 1080p on programming courses). I've been taking courses on a 128GB iPhone 6s, so it's large enough GB but not the latest most expensive by any means, also learned to use the Accessibility zoom feature, but an old iPad is nice too for "zooming in" for some coding courses. I can live stream or download, at the gym (great use of treadmill/bike time). Since some of the courses I know I'll re-watch, I usually download. I have seen some buffering and hangs doing the live, and this is one a connection that downloads 5mins vids in 60 secs so when the buffering comes around it is odd and there's no "play bar" or spinner like YouTube to show you in the UI you're waiting and the teacher isn't just pausing for effect. Most courses list (MSRP) around $200 but buy them on the website for two bundled courses for $20, and hey you've got another thing to l learn too, bonus. A lot also have coupons in emails or at the end of the course for $10 each for other classes from the same teacher. They embed a seemingly honest review system in the app/web, most courses have other students reviewing the course and will give it a rating around 4.5 for good courses. Sometimes the teachers are a bit hard to understand so my typical 1.5x to 2.0x watching speed goes down to 1.25x (just like YouTube they have speedups) you can sometimes see such comments in the reviews too. Take it all with a grain of salt, sometimes people from the UK are easier to understand than India and vice versa. One thing I did have to change, get a headset with a "podcast" or "relaxed" bass and treble settings because nobody teaching is an audio engineer and sometimes you'll hear typing or breathing or dragging the mic around and the bass will really hit you.
  • bug

i don't know if there is a method to report a bug from the app or not, however when you rate a course and after you finish writing the review you cant exit the keyboard mode
  • Fails to load next video

    By Kleexxx
Plays the first video but then hangs on loading the next video. Tried reinstalling app but no luck. Probably the worst iOS app I’ve used
  • I don’t know what to do

    By DonutGalaxy
I’m not criticizing the app because I haven’t actually done anything with it, but it’s been over an hour since I bought a course and it says that it’s still processing and that I should try again in a couple of minutes. I don’t know if it either just takes really long or it just isn’t working because I have never used this app before.
  • Great courses, Buggy app.

    By tortolloni
Been taking udemy courses for some time, bless those who take the time to teach us! However, my observations are that the app is really buggy, with audio randomly cutting out, captions can be confusingly wrong, downloading course sections cancel for no reason, and app seems incompatible with my car’s bluetooth system, making it impossible to listen to a course while driving. The bugs make the app harder to use, but the content on the platform is of good quality. Let’s all support the developers so they can improve the platform!
  • Horrible

    absolutely horrible
  • Latest update borked

The video player controls don’t go away. Very distracting.
  • Mobile Functionality Bad

    By Nopantsky
I love the concept and the content but your Mobil app (which is all I use and I imagine your primary user base) has too many issues in the player. Sometimes videos won’t play. Sometimes they only play when I exit the app. Sometimes I’ll hit pause, close the app and then it’ll start playing after I close it. I have signal and am able to watch full movies in hd but the Udemy app won’t play a lesson video. Please help as I’d love to change my rating!
  • Almadan iyice kontrol edin

  • Learn what you want, when you want!

    By Paco El Músico
Since graduating college I found myself in need of more learning, just to keep my brain occupied. I found this app and it immediately became my number one source for skill-building. There are classes on nearly anything you can think of, especially in the realm of art, whether it’s music, CGI, drawing, painting, etc... and many more areas that I haven’t explored fully. The great part is that nearly all of them are currently or will be soon be on sale for 90 or more percent off. Best way to find classes without breaking your bank account. And you have lifetime access once purchased, so not only do you not have to worry about “wasting” your money, but you can do it all on your own time and schedule.
