Who needs it with libre office, and open office? Why pay for something when there are better things for free, Especially not eternal subscriptions that never end, leaving you having paid 50 times the price of what the software would have cost as a one time purchase. On iOS and OS X, we have pages and on Microsoft we also have word pad as well as for both systems we can use open office libre office and about 10 other open source alternatives all of which are at least as good as Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Excel if not better. In iOS, we have pages, numbers, keynote, and so on. With Google, we have the Google slides Google Docs spreadsheet and other office applications, All for free where is immense storage space and no cost at all. The age of the corporate products cloud computing based subscription service is coming to an end, because people are getting fed up with it and I have finally realized it is a scam, And that there are many cheaper, and even free and better, alternative approaches

Mostly stable, useful app, but lacking in features. Really slimmed down compared to the desktop version. Too much so.
  • Not user friendly

Finding where all of the settings for MLA format (line spacing, header, page break, etc.) is not only not obvious, the icons all look pretty similar, and there are no words to indicate what they are (when hovering over or otherwise). There’s no way to change preferred font and font size to default. Since the update it no longer closes out of Word and brings up an old (random) document (not the document you were just working on) and not saving your current work when you go switch tabs and go to use the internet or books, or literally any other app. I’m pleased by this fact, but I am now also extremely paranoid and save my documents like I’m extremely paranoid. I dislike that when I command S, there’s sometimes no indication it has saved, and other times the screen sort of blips and I can tell. This leads me to going in and manually saving and now I have Document, Document copy, Document copy copy, Document copy copy copy, etc... times a million. It won’t let me save a new copy over an old copy. It asks if I wish to replace that Document, and when I click yes, it tells me I can’t... utterly useless. I’m considering using Google Docs, and maybe OpenOffice, I used to really like OpenOffice... both of those are FREE and I’m questioning why the hell I’m paying for Word when it has so many issues and things I dislike. I think at the end of this semester I’m going to try OpenOffice again. Sigh... it’s NOT the Word I grew up with! Quite disappointing.

Trying to do my homework and it just freezes up and won’t open my document. Get your crap together, you take money every month from me.

This is a great application. My only complaint so far is that I don’t have access to the graphics and shape outline sections. I would like to be able to play around with the word art more.
