Learn Spanish, French, Italian, German, and many more languages with Babbel. Developed by a team of language learning experts, Babbel has helped millions of people speak a new language with confidence. THE BABBEL METHOD Here’s what makes Babbel more effective than any other language learning app: 1. Confidence — Our goal is to get you speaking from your very first lesson. And our elegantly designed courses give you the confidence to get there. We teach you how to engage in practical, everyday conversations, making it easier for you to have authentic experiences in your new language. 2. Comprehension — Our lessons immerse you in relevant culture and real-life conversations. We want you to really take in the language, not just memorize useless phrases. And we provide helpful hints in English (or your native language) to make your new language more relatable. 3. Retention — We know you’re busy. That’s why our lessons are short but sweet: about 10-15 minutes, and designed to send your new language straight to long-term memory. We regularly refresh your memory with our dynamic review sessions, which target areas where you need improvement most. Finally, we make sure you really grasp what you’re learning by bringing it back later in a new context. • To difficult

    By SandyfromVirginia
A bought the App but realized it was to difficult. Tried to get a refund but was told “to bad”. It’s not like I paid for a game and didn’t like it. Seems like if I’m paying for a service and I’m not happy with it I should get a refund.
  • Worked for two days

    By Snae
Now I’m getting nothing but error message: Oops! An unknown error has occurred. Please try again later. The “try again” link does nothing. I paid up front for six months. I updated the app today, but got the same error message.
  • False charges, total scam

    By ttping2
Didn’t make any purchases but found out it was charging PayPal every 3 months. This app is a total scam, stay away
  • Will charge all months up front! Beware

    By OfcrNEAL
I assumed I would be paying monthly installments and was charged all 6 months up front! False advertising and very misleading way of conducting business! Hoping for a refund
  • Great Customer Service

    By owlgal
I purchased 3 months subscription . It was effective and I enjoyed it. Well worth the subscription price. I had a difficult year and had to cancel. Had a few issues through the iTunes subscription setting but Babbel staff worked it out. They answered several emails promptly. They also cancelled my automatically renewed subscription and refunded the difference
  • Bravo 👏🏼

Fantastic app! Me and my family wanted to learn Dutch because we are moving to the Netherlands 🇳🇱 soon. I’m excited because we don’t doubt ourselves, that is because we are confident in our grammar, vocabulary and expressions because of Babbel. Dank u wel Babbel!
  • Cost

You only get 1 free lesson and then you have to pay for the rest! That’s crap. I like memorize and duolingo for languages. I am also trying to learn Japanese not just Spanish but they don’t have Japanese! Unlike Memorize and Duolingo.
  • Mixed Spanish

    By Indysig
I wanted to learn Mexican Spanish and not Castilian Spanish. I am a true beginner but I do know a few words. This course infers that you know a bit more than just the basics and it mixes between the two types of Spanish. In short, i don’t like it and just wasted $40 bucks.
  • Other new languages

    By Kin9 0f P1an7s
I hoping, it’s free to learn language learn so I’ll to read more often and I see this to have more languages worldwide so I’ll able to be learning how to talk Japanese people who can’t speak English, since my dad and stepmom sometimes rarely bother to meet up some Japanese cute girls
  • BUYER BEWARE - subscriptions

    By Caveat Emptor - US
This is not a review of the product but more the company. I purchased a 6-month subscription upfront (SPOILER: bad move) for Spanish through Apple Store and 1 month in decided to switch to German under the impression that Babbel is a language learning software subscription not a purchase of access to a specific language. In short - it is impossible to change in the app or online and customer support’s response was that they couldn’t help me and to “purchase a new subscription”. Extremely disappointing. They didn’t even attempt to keep me as a customer. Eventually bad customer service will catch up to Lesson Nine GmbH.
