Office Lens trims, enhances and makes pictures of whiteboards and documents readable. Office Lens can convert images to editable Word and PowerPoint files too. Office Lens is like having a scanner in your pocket. Like magic, it will digitize notes on whiteboards or blackboards. Always find important documents or business cards. Sketch your ideas and snap a picture for later. Don't lose receipts or stray sticky notes again! Scenarios: - Capture and crop a picture of a whiteboard or blackboard and share your meeting notes with co-workers. - Make digital copies of your printed documents, business cards or posters and trim them precisely. - Printed and handwritten text will be automatically recognized (using OCR), so you can search for words in images and then copy and edit them. Features: - With Whiteboard mode, Office Lens trims and cleans up glare and shadows. - With Document mode, Office Lens trims and colors images perfectly. - Pictures can be saved to OneNote, OneDrive or other cloud storage. - Business Card mode can extract contact information and save it into your address book and OneNote. This feature works best with the following business cards: English, German, Spanish and Simplified Chinese. Support for more languages is coming soon. - Choose to convert images to Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx) or PDF (.pdf) files that are automatically saved to OneDrive.

  • Cream of the crop

I am amazed how much better Lens is than any other scanner app I’ve tried (on both iPad and Android). All the more amazing that it comes from Microsoft whose products I tend to hate (except for Word). It’s fast, simple, has incredible image quality, and offers lots of options for format and saving. The others seem like junk by comparison.
  • Only scans half a page !!!

    By Sunil619
When I try to scan documents, it only scans shows half of the page and cuts the other half and this has been happening since long time and I don’t see them fixing it, so I will just use another app.
  • File name and meta data disappeared. Disappointed

  • Crashamatic for biz cards

Limits save space, then crashes with each saved card photo you try to delete for more space
  • Crashes Constantly

I used to like this app; now it is unusable! It crashes seconds after opening it on my iPhone X with the latest iOS. Really wish this would have been fixed in the latest update. Maybe you can fix it now.
  • Very useful but lacking iPhone X support

    By QuintonAjStevens
This app is useful for uploading documents on the go or if you don't own a scanner. However, ever since getting an iPhone XR I’m no longer able to tap certain menu items like the most important cropping button to change the crop as they are located in the notch. Please correct the location of these icons.
  • No support for iPhone XS/XR

Guess the developers forgot about the notch !!
  • Used to be 5 star

It has been cutting off the bottom of many scans to the point of being useless. Adobe PDF Scan works. I’ve given feedback but no reply or bug fix yet. Fix it and I’ll change my review.
  • Used to be a great app

    By Mistral089
When I discovered this app 2 yrs ago, I recommended it to everyone. The ability to take pictures of whiteboards, straight and color-corrected, was fantastic. Also the scanning was great. Now in 2 out of 3 scans, the app is unable to recognize the document’s edges. Microsoft, what have you done???
  • Does what it says at a snails pace!

You can take pictures of text pages, and convert them into recognition and searchable texts, but only 10 pages at a time, which means if you’ll also spend your time reconstructing pages of texts if your project is 11 or more pages! Awful if you’ve got 100’s if pages of research to do!
